About The Tiny Freedom House

The beaten path has always looked too worn for me. I prefer open fields.

Love of freedom is in my bones. I don't believe in systems that turn us into robots; that disconnect us from God, our bodies, nature, and each other; or that take the joy and richness out of living.

The Tiny Freedom House is not only the tiny house on wheels that I'm building. It's my "exit and build" plan – a way out of mortgages, reliance on the grid, and addiction to "more is better". It's a home for every big and little thing I'm doing to create a life that completely ignores any outside expectations and allows me to return to a way of living that is closer to how I think God intended humans to live and thrive.

Outside, barefoot, in the sun, relying on goods and food from myself and from ones I know in my community, supporting my local farmers, learning old and established ways of health and wellness, investing in my own physical community, bucking off unhealthy societal norms, and relegating money to its rightful place – a useful tool that doesn't get to dictate my life.

Here is where you'll find my documentation of that process! I'll be sharing the entire tiny house design and build process, my experiences with partial (and maybe in the future - total!) off-grid living, and practices I'm implementing into my days that foster health, satisfaction, and thriving.

However cheesy it might sound, I'm building my own little slice of freedom. After all, we each have one life. The best thing each one of us can do is it live it according to the passions and callings God has put inside each of us.

This is what he's put in my soul.
